Off Piste Coaching and Guiding
Off Piste Coaching and Guiding
Intro to Ski Touring
A 3 hour + session designed for those to want to try a new aspect of skiing
Ski touring provides an opportunity to escape the crowds, take in the beauty of the backcountry and go higher than the ski lifts can take you.
Once you learn how to use specialist equipment (different skis, bindings and skins), you can hike to more remote areas of the mountain and discover the freedom and potential of backcountry skiing.
You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness as you will be ‘skinning’ uphill at altitude, hence you really earn your fresh tracks!
Safety First
We have explored much of the off piste terrain in the Portes du Soleil and are highly trained in the area of off piste skiing.
Our knowledge and understanding of avalanche safety and off piste travel is second to none, so these sessions can also be highly educational as well as loads of fun.
