Piste adventure
A 3 hour
session, tailored to your off piste desires. We can introduce
you to off piste ski techniques and tactics. Learn to ski fresh
powder, how to handle tricky snow, wind slab, wet snow, ice etc.
You may want to learn to ski steeps, couloirs, or even try a
short hike to some of the best hidden off piste areas, sometimes
well worth the extra effort!
Min level = 6
Helicopter adventure
Develop off piste
techniques and tactics. Ski an amazing ‘off the beaten track’
valley, stop off for a drink in a mountain hut and then take a
helicopter ride back to resort. This is as close to ‘heli
skiing’ as you will get in France.
Min level = 6
Intro to ski touring
A 3 hour
session designed for those to want to try a new snowsport. Ski
touring provides an opportunity to escape the crowds. Once you
learn how to use specialist equipment (different skis, bindings
and skins), you can hike to more remote areas of the mountain
and discover the freedom and potential of backcountry skiing.
You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness as you will
be ‘skinning’ up hill at altitude, hence you really earn your
fresh tracks!
Min level = 6
Practical avalanche safety
This is a 3 hour
session for those who
want to learn about avalanche safety for skiing or snowboarding
off piste. We will carry out avalanche transceiver searches,
look at safe route choice, experience a snow pit and look at
what, and why, certain slopes are dangerous or safe. This is a
fun, educational session that will give you invaluable knowledge
to help you stay safe and make the most of the mountain
environment.
Min level = 6

This is a 3 hour
session, a classic. Experience one of the hidden Gems of the
Portes du Soleil. Enjoy getting away from the lifts and
experiencing a beautiful backcountry valley with a free bus back
to Morzine.
