Frequently Asked Questions
Do all
F2S instructors speak English?
Yes, for all but one of us
English is our first language. Luc is Dutch but his English is
excellent. We understand this is very important to you.
Where is your meeting point for lessons?
Most of our lessons start and
finish in front of the Prodain Telepherique in Avoriaz. We can
sometimes arrange to meet groups at the top of the Ardent
telecabine in Lindarets, and the top of the Super Morzine
telecabine too if it fits our schedule.
I have previously had bad experiences with other ski schools
- will F2S be different?
We often hear stories of
inpatient instructors, a lack of general care and massive class
sizes. We are the opposite to all of these and pride ourselves
on these qualities..
Why are F2S lessons more expensive than some local ski
schools?
We do not rely on large numbers
to fill classes so therefore must charge more. All our lesson
prices reflect the quality service you will receive. To qualify
as a BASI ISTD level instructor, it currently takes an average
of 6 to 7 yrs of hard training, assessment and commitment.
My child thinks ski classes are boring!
Our Freedom Seeker, Rider and
Teens courses are designed to be fun, challenging and exciting.
We will ensure your children and teenagers get as much skiing as
possible in a safe encouraging environment but still learn and
improve dramatically. We understand that standing around for
ages at the side of the slope can be really dull, so we keep
explanations short, simple and effective. So many of the
children we teach each winter rebook with us again each year.
Are lift passes and/or ski-hire included in the lesson costs?
No, I'm afraid you will need to
sort these extras out first. All first week beginner Avoriaz
based lessons will only require local 'Avoriaz ' lift passes.
(Less expensive than the PDS pass). For confident blue run and
above skiers we would normally recommend purchasing the ‘Portes
du Soleil’ pass. This will enable you ski into Switzerland and
